I like this words.Right we are powerful only when we belived we are.We can inspire ourself and others when we belived in ourself.Be the light that inspires minds and souls not the light that burns everything even itself
WOW I wished that I could comment in Arabic to express well how do I feel towards those wise describing words, any how I'll try to figure the suitable words to describe my infatuation, I'm asking myself is it true that I have an unmeasurable power, is it really true that I'm playing small or I'm really small. could it happen that if I liberate myself from my fears I'll be able to liberate others to let their own light shines . How lucky we are as a teachers then if we have the ability to enlightens the life of those kids. really inspiring words
Thanks Dr.Joyanne for posting this poem.We have a saying in Arabic ''a candel that is buring for the sake of others ''that means a person who does a lot of efforts for other people is decribed as a candle. So we have to get rid of our fear then be strong and guide others and be their light.I think we sacrifice a lot As a parent we sacrifice ourselves for the sake of our children and as a teacher we sacrifice for the sake of our students. I think it is our mission in life.
I like those wise words, and I don't know if it is only a coincidence one of my friends who doesn't like teaching very much asked me "do you like your job and your school". I answered yes very much. Then I asked myself why I do love this job?! I think the answer is behind those nice and warm words.
i used to believe that "the nail that sticks out gets hammered" ... and if you ask me how i see myself i would instantly say i am not worthy of any praise ... but whether this is frightened or self insecure ... it does not feel right!
i think it's about time for each of us to shine to lightened the darkest days!
What wonderful wise words Dr Joyanne! Really we are nothing in front of the grandeur and glory of Allah. We shouldn't make little of others because none of us is perfect and We are created to light the lives of others with our little knowledge which our God blessed on us as well as we expect others to do the same thing with us.
