In this life, one can never imagine what will happen. I never imagined that I would be teaching teachers in Egypt, and I am sure that the Egyptian teachers in my two courses never imagined that they would have been taught by an Afro-Caribbean woman from Trinidad. But it has happened, our paths have crossed, and we have learned from each other, shared, laughed, cried, got mad, discussed, calmed down, reached out, and stressed. We have been bored, motivated, impressed, impassioned, surprised, and delighted. We have felt relief, anger, pain, and joy. But above all of this we have all enjoyed a wonderful sense of accomplishment! We did it! And now the time has come for this semesters work to be packed away. All we will have are the memories, the blogs, and the stories to tell. My best wishes to you all. Thanks for touching my life in the ways that you have. In the words of my late, dear mother, All The Best!!!
Yes ,the course has been so rich .What has made it so rich is the different situations we have experienced . Although we are about to finish that course ,our interaction with each other has been consolidated and improved . It`s a positive sign as it avails the opportunity for future communication where we will all exchange experiences, discuss problems end get acknowledged with the latest.
ReplyDeleteIn our lives we have three kinds of people. First those who come and go without leaving an impact on us such as the wind passing the sand of desert or the leaves of the trees.Secondly those who have a bad effect on us such as a passing car through mud leaves a trace behind it, or a hot iron leaves a scar on a skin . Thirdly those who lighten our lives, touch our hearts, take our hand, help us get through difficulites ,add a new hope then show and guide us to a new way to get through.
ReplyDeleteThat's life Dr. Joy, we meet, have good or bad memories to learn from then we leave to start a new experience. Life is just series of experiences and it is our choice whether to learn from such experiences or just feel joy about the good ones or just feel sorry for the bad ones. Wish you all the best Dr. Joy
ReplyDeleteI hate the ends of nice, joyful and pleasant events.I think that you will be a turning point in my teaching life.I feel sad to say good bye to my teachers.the only happenes to be perminant is there at the second life.I am egar to have it with all the ones I love because they offered me new light in my life.may Allah bless you.
ReplyDeleteYes it is the end but I would like to remind you all we still have our technology to reach each other. We can blog, blog & blog even without a course or a meeting. I feel that our blogger is not a homework it is just the feeling of something you want to share it with others it doesn't matter if you are sad or happy you just want to feel that you are not alone.
ReplyDeleteWe are all human Dr Joyanne. we have the same feeling;meet or farewell, love or hate, believe or disbelieve, feeling pain, sorrow or happiness. We are all the same, despite being different in nationality, religion, color, culture, wealth, education, customs and traditions. There is something common among us,that's the nature of the human being.
ReplyDeleteThis difference was rooted in human being in order to be in need for each other, connected, collaborated, integrated with each other as we are humans and no one can't live separately from others, hence we can't depend only on our own experience and knowledge in life.
Yes that is life.We meet people and get attached to them then for different reasons we are separated. I learnt a lot from this course it has been very fruitful to me. I learnt a lot from you and from my colleagues. I wish you and your family all the best. I hope to keep in touch through our blogs.
ReplyDeleteThanks my dear.
Maybe we have never expected to meet you Dr. Joyanne ,But I think we will never forget you and we hope we will meet again sometime. We had great time and we learned a lot ,you really inspired us .I wish you the best .
ReplyDeleteI've never been excited in any of my courses as much as I had during this course, yes being with such a remarkable Dr like you was quite an experience, I mention you a lot to my kids, my family and my husband expressing how much I admire your persistence, your willingness to give, your enthusiasm to change our point of view of motivation, your patience to tolerate our de motivational moments, the difference in cultures, our difficult time of revolution, unrest time of transitional stage.
ReplyDeleteall this you took it with the same smile as usual in every session and with the same punctuality.
Having you as an instructor is an opportunity which we thank God for it.
thank you Dr Joy
I totally agree with you Dr. Joyanne. We have gone through different feelings and different experiences. This sort of diversity proves that although humans are of different ethnicties, they can cooperate and integrate to achieve one goal and help each other and build on each other's experiences. What we have learnt in this course is countless and of great value. I hope that different cultures can find ways to know other cultures and spread mutual understanding.
ReplyDeleteWHAT is motivation?
ReplyDelete"Processes that initiate and sustain behavior"(McMillan&Forsyth,1991,p.39)
I think am motivated in the correct way.I mean that got many things and still those behaviors are still present(sustained)
Dr. Joyanne
